LMGM/MBC

LMGM

Live more, ruminate less! (LMGM, Norwegian abbreviation) is a coping intervention for adolescents that consists of a main book, a workbook and a guide for adults working with adolescents. LMGM emphasizes the concept of mindfulness, which is introduced as an appropriate starting point for strengthening one's own coping skills. The adolescents learn how to cope with various forms of stress, regulate their emotions, and how to communicate in a good way with their surroundings. LMGM is only available in Norwegian. However, I have developed English material and offer courses in English. For more information, please contact me.

MBC

MBC is an abbreviation for Mindfulness-based Coping. MBC is a coping intervention based on psychosocial skills from cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. The intervention was primarily developed for psychiatric outpatients. Main topics are mindfulness, stress management, emotion regulation and social competence. MBC is pedagogically structured, with homework in addition to the weekly group sessions. It is presented in its entirety in the book Coping skills for life difficulties, which was published in November 2008. Second edition was published in 2012. Since 2007 I have had certification courses for various target groups who want to carry out MBC either in group format, class format, or use it in individual therapy. Even though the target group is primarily patients, I have had variants of the course for other target groups such as students in upper secondary schools, management groups at institutions, as well as open public lectures. The MBC-manual is only available in Norwegian. However, I have developed English material and offer courses in English. For more information, please contact me.
